I've been in love with Ayumi Horie's work for a while and was happy to find an interview with her lately. She seems to be so very calm. And happy with her work. But also very clear about what she's doing and why. These are the thing I feel I lack at the moment and I've been rereading her words again and again over the last few days.
This new year (I always count new years from my birthday) is all about commitments, with capital C even... I almost expect myself to be a bit uncomfortable with it, but instead I am really happy. I'm keeping it secret for now, but I'll share it with you when the moment's right.

hi Olga, you're not talking about commitment in terms of your boyfriend, are you.. ? Or perhaps you mean to the vege garden? ;) I wanted to write and tell you how happy I am with my shirt/tunic you made for me. It's beautiful, unique and SO COMFORTABLE. I'm sorry that the hand-stitching was so much work, and hope it hasn't put you off your craft! Also - when you're at the stage of exhibiting or selling pottery, do let me know as I'd love to see. I'm a bit of a collector....
